I have the guitar tuned down to an A flat, more than a fifth below standard. I have also tried to give my voice and edginess and sharp attack that recreates the sound of the old 78's. The under the breath mutterings are fun to throw in and make a nice contrast. I have fun with music, what can I say?

I wish I could play more of Willie McTell's songs. Paul Geremia recreates his music better than anyone I have heard. Later in his life, McTell tuned his guitar very low, but I do not think it was down to the pitch that I used in this song
